An essential component of managing safety on construction sites
Greg Turner, Project Manager at Astra Security has recently undergone a 5-day training course, covering all aspects of construction site safety management. The course helps managers organise, monitor and measure health and safety performance on site, whilst maintaining site safety training, systems, and safe methods of work.
Site management training is an essential component of safety on construction sites.
The course, which is run by the CITB, is valid for 5 years, and is essential for any manager who is involved in planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering groups of staff for construction sites. It covers all relevant legislation affecting safe working in the building, for construction and civil engineering industries. It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture within the workforce.
Sarah Steer, Finance, People and Compliance Director at Astra said:
“We are committed to providing continued professional development for our staff and have an ongoing dedication to training and excellence standards. Greg is one of many in our team to have undergone and passed this course.”
