Paul Beet
Managing Director
Paul has worked in the security industry since 1997. He was previously a member of the Armed Forces, having served in the Parachute Regiment for 9 years.
Paul joined Astra Security in 2006 as Managing Director.
Outside of work, Paul has a huge interest in supporting community and charitable initiatives. As part of this, he is Chairman of Bristol Bears Women’s Team (appointed in 2021). He is also an active volunteer for the national charity SOS Kit Aid, who recycle and reuse rugby kit to support disadvantaged youngsters around the world.
Steve Bird
Managing Director
Steve has worked within the retail security sector in various roles since 1994, starting as Senior Installation Engineer for a national CCTV company and moving swiftly through the ranks to National Account Manager in 2001.
During this time, Steve gained a wealth of technical and product knowledge in CCTV and Access Control, overseeing installations nationally for many well-known retail outlets.
Today, Steve as one of the Managing Directors of Astra Security, has many varied roles, including overseeing several major accounts, plus the day‑to‑day running of a busy project management team and office.
Matthew Stanley
Director of Operations
As Director of Operations, Matthew will focus on the continual development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that business objectives are met. A key part of enabling this will encompass the motivation and training of operations staff to carry out their functions and responsibilities in line with business and customer expectations.
Matthew has been with the Company for 5 years and was previously Senior Account Manager.
Sarah Steer
Director of Finance, People and Compliance
Sarah has been with the Company for 5 years and has a wealth of knowledge, including the management of our ISO9001:2015 compliance and internal auditing programme.
As a new Director to the Management Team, Sarah will deliver and manage the disclosure and accountability for all financial activities within the business, instil best practice and staff policy development for all areas of HR.
Sarah was previously General Manager.
Steve Rees
Senior Project Manager
Steve manages a varied portfolio of customers, delivering solutions to their individual security needs. Steve also researches exciting new markets and products to ensure Astra Security have the cutting edge when it comes to technology and opportunities.
Steve currently holds an SMSTS qualification and CSCS card.
